I’ve been invited to collaborate with Anne Kauffman and Doug Elkins as they team up for the Joyce Theater’s Residency Initiative workshop this March. The details of the workshop are still to come but I’m excited to be joining these awesome creative artists.
This will be my first time working with Doug Elkins but Anne Kauffman and I share some history. Anne and I met in La Jolla, years ago. I was beginning my undergraduate studies at University of California, San Diego and Anne was a candidate in the MFA Directing program. She cast me in a studio production of SPRING AWAKENING alongside the 3rd year MFA acting graduate students. Since then I’ve been itching to get back into the studio with her.
The amazing Deborah Lohse is also attached to the project. Deborah and I also met as undergraduates at UCSD and have remained friends and fans of each others’ work for years. Deborah is the creator/choreographer/artistic director of her own company Ad Hoc Ballet, check out her work HERE.
I’m very much looking forward to working with this insane group of talents and hope that this is only the beginning of a great collaboration and an exciting piece of performance.
